ThreeBond 3163 UV-curing silicone resin

Overview

ThreeBond 3163 is a UV-curing silicone resin.
It cures quickly under ultraviolet irradiation; any unirradiated areas cure with moisture.
Its main component is a silicone resin; therefore, it has excellent resistance to heat and heat cycles.
Because it is blue, the completion of its application is easy to confirm.
ThreeBond 3163 has a moderate viscosity; after curing, however, it becomes strong and has rubber-like elasticity. It can be used for fixing, sealing, and potting of electric and electronic parts.
It uses a material that contains very little low-molecular siloxane, and therefore has no adverse influence on electric contacts. It is a product that does not cause electric-contact failure.

Features

· Has excellent UV-curing properties.
· Is a one-part, nonsolvent resin.
· Areas not cured by irradiation cure with moisture in the air (dealcohol type).
· Has excellent resistance to heat and cold (-60°C to 200°C).
· Has very low content of low-molecular siloxane.

Uses

· Sealing, bonding, fixing, and potting of electric and electronic components
