ThreeBond 3170B Visible-light-curing resin

Overview

ThreeBond 3170B is a one-part, nonsolvent, visible-light-curing resin, in which acrylate is a major component. It cures quickly under irradiation by ultraviolet or visible light at a wavelength of 200 to 500 nm. Thus it reduces the time and labor needed for manufacture. Because it cures under visible light, it is suitable for materials that are opaque to ultraviolet light. It cures in a thicker layer than ultraviolet-curing resins. It is suitable for bonding plastics, glasses, or metals.

Features

· Cures under irradiation with ultraviolet or visible light in no more than a few tens of seconds.
· Is suitable for bonding materials that are opaque to ultraviolet light but not to visible light.
· Has excellent thick-film-curing property.
· Is suitable for bonding plastics, glasses, or metals.

Uses

· Bonding of electrical parts and optical components
· Bonding of materials that are transparent to visible light but opaque to ultraviolet light
· Bonding where especially thick film is needed
