ThreeBond 1878 Volatile rust-inhibitor (film type) |

ThreeBond 1878 is a volatile rust-inhibiting film that contains two polyethylene structures: one that contains rust inhibitor, and one that does not. Just as an insect repellent makes a drawer insect-proof by vaporizing inside it, VCI, a volatile rust inhibitor, slowly vaporizes at room temperature, is chemically and physically absorbed by a metallic surface, and reacts with that surface. Thus it prevents metals such as iron, copper, and aluminum from rusting. |
