History

Our history began in 1955 with the development of the liquid gasket "ThreeBond No. 1."
Since then, we have been contributing to technological innovation in the industrial world for more than 60 years.

  • 1955　

    Founder, Osamu Ukumori, established Tokyo ThreeBond Ltd. in Koto-ku, Tokyo.
    The liquid gasket "ThreeBond No. 1," which led to the company's founding, was born.

  • 1961　

    ThreeBond Kako Co., Ltd. was established, which later became ThreeBond Polymer Co., Ltd.

  • 1964　

    Became the first liquid gasket JIS display licensed factory in Japan

  • 1967　

    Established a new head office and research center in Hazama-machi, Hachioji City, Tokyo,
    and relocated to a facility that integrated sales, research, and development activities.

  • 1970　

    The company name was changed to ThreeBond, Co., Ltd. in order to become a more global company.

  • 1970 〜
    1977

    First overseas office established in Los Angeles.
    In 1973, the office became ThreeBond America, Inc. and subsidiaries in Brazil, Germany, and France were established.

  • 1985　

    Baseball team advanced to the top eight in its first appearance at the 56th Inter-City Baseball Tournament

    The rubber-ball baseball team is still active and is a regular participant in national tournaments.

  • 1995 〜
    1998

    ThreeBond Co., Ltd. acquired ISO9001 certification and QS9000 certification in 1998.

  • 2001　

    ThreeBond Co., Ltd., ThreeBond Polymer Co., Ltd., and ThreeBond Logistics Co., Ltd. registered for ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification.

  • 2007 〜
    2012

    ThreeBond Polymer Co., Ltd. established new factory in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture
    Opened a new research institute on the same site in 2012

  • 2014　

    Established ThreeBond Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. through transition to the holdings system.
    The first Japanese "Jing Hua Xiao Chi" restaurant was opened in Ginza, Tokyo as a new restaurant business.

  • 2015　

    The head office of ThreeBond Co., Ltd. was newly established and relocated to Minami-Osawa, Hachioji City, about a 10-minute drive from the new laboratory.

  • 2020　

    Celebrated the 65th anniversary of our founding
